| GoalsFactsOur mission is to provide the highest level of care for patients with kidney and pancreas diseases. Dr. Reza Allamehzadeh will aim to diagnose kidney diseases early and provide measures to prevent progression. His priority is always the patients’ wellbeing by always putting the patients first and maintaining compassion. We provide excellent and quality care for patients who have received kidney and pancreas transplants or are in the process of receiving them. It takes a highly trained and specialized transplant physician to manage this group of patients who require proper hand holding and comforting during their use of immunosuppressive medications, which may present with unusual symptoms. The incidence of chronic kidney disease is increasing most rapidly in people ages 65 and older. The incidence of recognized chronic kidney disease in people ages 65 and older more than doubled between 2000 and 2008. The incidence of recognized chronic kidney disease among 20- to 64-year-olds is less than 0.5 percent. As of late 2010, a total of approximately 93,000 patients were registered on the kidney transplant waiting list at the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) in the United States |
