Marie Sarbaziazad

Given that her workers’ compensation experience with state-wide firms has been exclusively dedicated to the defense of carriers, third party administrators and employers, Ms. Sarbaziazad knows how to aggressively represent all issues faced by her clients while at the same time seeking efficient resolution at early stages so as to minimize exposure and costs. She always tailors her strategies to her clients’ objectives and, as such, maintains close, regular contact the adjuster or employer representative.

Marie has great familiarity with judges, applicants’ attorneys and co-defendant counsel throughout northern California; her venues include Sacramento, Oakland, San Francisco, Santa Rosa, and San Jose. She has an excellent reputation as an aggressive, knowledgeable and fair litigator. Given this distinction, as well as applicant attorneys’ knowledge that Ms. Sarbaziazad can and, if necessary, will litigate, petition for reconsideration and file a writ, opposition is often inclined to resolve matters more expeditiously when she is the assigned defense attorney. As such, clients regularly refer files to her attention.

Marie Sarbaziazad received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and M.B.A from the University of Tehran. She earned her Juris Doctor from the prestigious University of San Francisco School of Law, where she was awarded Academic Excellence Scholarship every semester. During law school, Ms. Sarbaziazad participated in law review and served as a Judicial Intern at the Superior Court of San Francisco handling civil cases. As a result of her outstanding work in Moot Court competition, she was awarded the Best Oralist distinction.

Marie is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
