Hirad received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he studied in the Corporate Law Curriculum Program (now the Business Law and Policy Program). While in law school, Hirad served as Managing Editor of the UCLA Journal of International Law & Foreign Affairs, an interdisciplinary publication promoting scholarship in international law and foreign relations.
Before entering private practice, Hirad had the privilege of serving as a two-term federal judicial law clerk and extern to the Honorable Robert C. Broomfield, Senior United States District Judge for the District of Arizona. Working closely with a U.S. District Judge, Hirad gained an invaluable perspective into the courts and litigation—helping to review briefs, researching and writing about complex legal issues, discussing the merits of motions, and gaining an understanding of lawsuits from the court’s point of view as well as how best to present oral and written arguments.
After the second year of his clerkship, Hirad joined the litigation practice of major international law firm Jones Day in their Los Angeles office, where he represented defendants and plaintiffs in a wide variety of cases in state and federal court, as well as before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution. Clients represented included businesses in the banking and credit reporting industries as well as media, Internet, and Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to practicing law, Hirad received his Bachelor of the Arts (with Honors) in Business and Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), and also served as director of operations for a security software development company. He is an avid weekend bicyclist and an alt-rock music aficionado.
Azadeh received her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law, where she studied in the law school’s London Program. In London, Azadeh interned with leading English criminal defense firm Tuckers Solicitors, as well as with major international law firm WilmerHale in its international commercial arbitration practice.
Prior to her work at Dadgostar Law, Azadeh worked as a law clerk at a firm specializing in insurance defense litigation. Before that, Azadeh served as a federal judicial extern to the Honorable Earl H. Carroll, Senior United States District Judge for the District of Arizona. These experiences have provided Azadeh a unique perspective in advocating for her clients today.
Outside of the courtroom, Azadeh enjoys singing and sang with the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic’s first choir of Legal Voices, where she performed at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Shrine Auditorium. These followed a previous vocal performance Azadeh delivered at a Pepperdine University function honoring U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.
Azadeh is President Emeritus of the Iranian American Lawyers Association (2019-2020).
