Mitra Ahouraian

Mitra Ahouraian, Esq., is the founder and principal attorney at Ahouraian Law, a full-service corporate and entertainment law firm based in Beverly Hills, California. She is well known for her down-to-earth personality and intelligent technique for making legal matters clear and understandable for her clients while providing effective and creative strategies that get results. She’s represented some of the most prominent actors, writers, directors, producers, models, influencers, financiers, and lenders from Hollywood, New York, and elsewhere, and prides herself on developing close and long-time relationships with clients.

Mitra’s extensive experience includes negotiating and drafting film, tv, music and book deals. Her firm, Ahouraian Law, specializes in intellectual property, entertainment law, and negotiating and structuring artist and production deals for all media. Additionally, they advise on all aspects of motion picture and television development, financing, production, and distribution, from start to finish. Other specialties include corporate law, litigation, rights clearance, licensing, copyrights, and trademarks.

After getting her law degree, Mitra launched her legal career working with globally-renowned firms, developing a foundation in Business Litigation, Intellectual Property, and Corporate Law before branching off into Entertainment. She also worked in legal affairs at MTV, worked the merger of two major record labels, and served as counsel for several high-profile breaches of contract and copyright cases involving artists, major studios, and record companies. She also served as General Counsel to independent book publisher Phoenix Books, for whom she negotiated and drafted hundreds of publishing agreements for authors including Larry King, Carl Reiner, Robert Evans, Bill Maher, Gene Simmons, CNN host Jim Moret and controversial former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, among others. She also co-founded an artist development company that took artists multi-platinum.

Mitra holds degrees from both UCLA and Loyola Law School, with a specialty from UCLA in Entertainment Studies and an emphasis in Business and Legal Affairs. She created and taught a course in Entertainment Business Essentials for the Los Angeles Film School.
