Farshad Farjami is a patent attorney in California and a founding partner of the intellectual property law firm of Farjami & Farjami LLP.
Farshad obtained his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Loyola Law School in 1996, where he graduated number one in his class. Farshad has been designated a Sayre MacNeil Scholar for his outstanding academic achievements. He has been named to the Order of the Coif for high attainments in the study of law and has received seven American Jurisprudence Awards for excellent achievements in various fields of law. Farshad has also belonged to the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society and Phi Delta Phi Honor Fraternity.
Farshad earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UCLA in 1987. He has over eight years of experience as a consulting engineer, project leader and hardware/software design engineer at Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, where he designed telecommunication systems, including firmware and electronic circuits for high speed data, fax and voice modem products.

Farshad Farjami’s law practice encompasses securing intellectual property protection, licensing and litigation. Farshad has drafted and negotiated numerous high technology agreements, software licenses, technology service and support agreements, patent licenses, and purchase and sales agreements. He has also participated in the drafting and implementation of several multi-company technology alliances, such as:
Farshad has also been a delegate to the ITU on behalf of U.S. Companies to debate and draft various Software Copyright Guidelines at the ITU – Telecommunication Standardization Sector in Geneva, Switzerland.
Farshad has drafted and prosecuted various patent applications in the areas of telecommunication, speech coding, computer network infrastructure, signal processing, telephony, software, Internet, mechanical and medical devices. He has also managed and supervised extensive patent portfolios, covering industry standards for the firm’s Fortune 100 and 500 clients.
Farshad has litigated cases in the areas of patents, trademarks, copyrights, contracts and torts in the Central District of California. He has also drafted various opinion letters relating to patent infringement and validity issues.
