Omid Rejali comes from a very dynamic background. As a first generation child of a family of immigrants, he spent 10 years of his life growing up in Tehran. Living in a third world country has given Omid the ability to appreciate the legal rights our wonderful but not perfect justice system has to offer.
Omid has a passion for the courtroom and believes that every individual’s rights should be fully vindicated no matter what the circumstances are. His struggles while growing up have made him a very strong person who is able to overcome anything that stands in his way. He is a staunch believer in government transparency and making sure each and every one of his client’s rights are fully vindicated.
While in law school Omid has won many awards, including The Jefferson Medal, and California Award for Excellence in international business transactions and legal synthesis. He has also been placed on the deans list for his excellent academic performance. Additionally, he received a certificate of achievement from the Pro Bono Honors Program for giving over 200 hours of legal assistance to those in need in the community. Prior to opening his firm Omid extern for the Honorable Judge Jack Staton at the Department of Justice, Office of Immigration Review in El Centro where he obtained valuable hands on experience and learned how the immigration court operates. He also gained exposure to the courtroom while working at the El Cajon public defender’s office.
Omid is fluent in speaking Farsi and is licensed to practice in all California State Courts and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
Ms. Rejali was born and raised in Tehran. While studying in Tehran she finished two years of studying law at Shahid Beheshti University prior to getting married and moving to the United States in 1976.
While in the United States, she had three children and was unable to pursue her dream of studying law. However, her passion for law and justice was always a lingering thought in her mind. Ms. Rejali states that: “Getting acquainted with legal events and the judicial system is part of her life.”
In 1992 Ms. Rejali and the Rejali family moved back to Tehran. While in Tehran and always pursuing her curiosity in language and knowledge, she received a bachelor’s degree in Italian literature and translation from Azad University in 2001.
After Ms. Rejali’s son, Omid Rejali, Esq., the owner and principal of the REJALI LAW FIRM graduated from law school, Ms. Rejali gathered the impetus to go back to school to obtain her paralegal certificate to fulfill her dream and passion for the law.
Currently, she is a student at Miramar College with one semester left until receiving her paralegal certificate. Furthermore, she has been very involved at the college by being a part of a variety of organizations including the paralegal association at Miramar College.
Ms. Rejali states that: “I’m very glad to have this opportunity to work at the REJALI LAW FIRM and that she is very proud of her son Omid who has motivated and helped her through her journey.”
Ms. Rejali is fluent in English and Farsi and is proficient in Italian. When not working Ms. Rejali enjoys being around her family, reading and cooking.
