Hajir Dadgostar, MD, PhD earned his MD degree, as well as his PhD in Molecular Biology, in the UCLA Medical Scientist Training Program after graduating from UCLA with Summa Cum Laude honors. He received his residency training at the Jules Stein Eye Institute and his surgical fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases at the internationally renowned Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute. Dr. Dadgostar has been awarded the prestigious Heed Foundation Fellowship award. He has published award-winning research as well as numerous invited book chapters on topics ranging from treatments for macular degeneration to diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular tumors, and posterior segment trauma. He is a past President of the Los Angeles Society of Ophthalmology and the Academy of Persian American Physicians. He is a recipient of the Best Doctors distinction as selected by his peers and published in Los Angeles Magazine. He also enjoys teaching residents and fellows as a Clinical Instructor for the UCLA/Stein Eye Institute.
